Contains sexual abuse - police investigation for SA. could trigger.

I was sexually assaulted earlier this year and the police have started an investigation. The investigation started on Friday and since then I've had several calls from the police daily and its been very stressful.
I have to do a recorded interview on Wednesday.

Can anyone tell me what this is like?
I have told the police briefly what happened but my advocate said that I will have to explain in detail in the recorded interview.
I'm scared of the details. They give me flashbacks and dissociation.
I'm scared I will get angry if I feel overwhelmed.

How did anyone feel when they did this or a similar interview?


Since the investigation kicked off I've been not sleeping due to flashbacks and memories and when I do sleep like 3- 4 hours I have nightmares that wake me up every few minutes.
Is this a normal reaction?

Has anyone been though a sexual assault investigation and how did you feel and cope?
